Alleviate your mid-winter cabin fever with a Festival of fun!
There will be games and a scavenger hunt throughout the day!
A Midwinter Ball and Wassailing (of a tree)!
Fighting
A Midwinter Tournament to determine the “Midwinter High Champion and Flower of the the Garden of Love and Beauty.”
Depending on the weather, fighting tournaments will either be outside or in. Be sure to bring a seat!
Calontir Steel
There will be a Calontir Steel Tournament, format to be decided based on the number of entrants.
Winner to be a “Champion of the Garden of Love and Beauty.”
Archery
Feast Hall Cork Crossbow Shoot. This“Hunt” is to provide game for the feast.
Winner to be a “Champion of the Garden of Love and Beauty.”
Archery prize is cork crossbow used in ‘Hunt.’
Arts & Sciences
A&S Theme is Anything Warm & Cozy. Documentation is encouraged, 3x5 card.
Winner to be a “Champion of the Garden of Love and Beauty.”
A&S prize is one of Sorcha’s roman oil lamps.
Bardic
Bardic theme is Winter - one piece, one standby. Competition will be held over the course of lunch.
Winner to be a “Champion of the Garden of Love and Beauty.”
Bardic prize is nice bottle with purple and yellow sweater cozy.
Other Activites
Scout Tourney will be held outside, if the weather is nice.
Scavenger Hunt will be held indoors.
Court will be held at His Highness' Pleasure.
Site Fee
$4.00 for adults, $3.00 for ages 6-12, children 5 and under get in free. There is an additional $5.00 surcharge for each adult non-member. The family cap is $14.00 (not including non-member surcharge). Make checks payable to “SCA Inc., Barony of Vatavia.”
Donations of non-perishable food items are encouraged. Donations will go towards Martinson Avenue Christian Chruch’s food pantry.
Feast
$7.00 for adults, $4.00 for ages 6-12, no cost for children 5 and under. Make checks payable to “SCA Inc., Barony of Vatavia.”
Feast seats are still available. Please contact the Autocrat or Feast Steward to reserve your places. Limit 50 seats.
Menu to feature whatever the ’Hunt‘ brings in – most likely boar and beef.
Midwinter table decor is highly encouraged.
Tavern
Lunch will be included in the cost of site fee!
Merchants
Merchants are most welcome!!! This is no additional site fee.
Post Revel
Post Revel will be at the home of HL Uldin of Ravenscroft (Damian Woodworth) and HL Sung Sai-êrh (Jennifer Langley).
